It's About Attitude
The Triangle
C Ranch is family
owned and operated.
Our family has
been in the dude
ranching business
for four generations.
We manage and
operate our own
horse riding
program rather
than hiring outside
managers. We
participate with
our guests because
we understand
that's what it's
all about.

My Dear Friends & New
Found Family; "Perfect
in every detail" is
the only
description
that explains
our experience
at the tremendous
Triangle
C. The food
was fabulous!
The service
spectacular!
The Wranglers
were wonderful
and the trails
terrific!
The
entire staff
was a Blast!
Most importantly
was the bonding
and participation
which was
accomplished
through the
enriching
example that
was displayed
by all the
members of
the Triangle
C Family.
On
behalf of
everyone
of the Lustre
Craft family,
we extend
our
endless gratitude
to everyone
at your family
and
all hope
to stay in
touch and
visit in
the
not so distant
future. Our
homes throughout
the
nation are
open to all
of you
at anytime
your trails
cross
our path.
These doors
are not
open just
as a courtesy,
but
a sincere
invitation
to share
our lives
with you
in the future.
With kindness
and gratitude
until we
meet again,
Your friend
always, Lustre
Craft Family
The Horses
The Triangle C
runs about 150
horses and mules
total. During
the winter, the
horses are trailered
off to our farm
at a lower altitude
with milder weather
until the next
spring. The Dude
Ranch has
a broad
selection
of different
breeds and types,
so you are likely
to find the horse
that
suits you. We
raise and train
our horses, so
we know their
strengths and
termperaments.
Guest/Horse Ratio
This is an important piece
of information
to have. Ranches
with only
one horse per
guest run the
risk of the horses
becoming exhausted
long before the
end of the season.
The Triangle
C keeps at least
a 2 to1 ratio
of horses to
guests at all
times, sometimes
as high as 3
to 1. This ratio
will insure you
always will have
a strong, fresh
horse to enjoy
your dude ranch
horseback riding experience.
Terrain and Geography
The Triangle
C Ranch is located
in the Wind River
Valley. This
makes the Triangle
C one of the
best horseback
riding locations
to be found anywhere.
Terrain ranges
from flat and
easy to steep,
wild and challenging.
You'll be able
to find rides that
suit your skill
and interest
level. The ranch
is near several
beautiful lakes
and the Wind
River runs alongside
the riding area
for miles.
Pace, Safety and
Horseback Rides
- The Triangle
C will carefully
match
you
to a horse
of appropriate
demeanor.
- The pace
of the ride
will be
slow enough
for the ability
of the least
skillful
rider in
the group.
- Each rider
will get
careful instructions
in how to
handle this
particular
horse.
- All ride
leaders are
well qualified,
have first
aid training
and are attentive
to all the
riders with
them.
- We'll see
to it that
cinches are
properly
tightened,
neither
too loose
nor
too tight.

Tack
The ranch has
a broad selection
of saddles.
Care taken to
give each horse
a bit which suits
him and is fitted
properly. Our
equipment is
well maintained
and headstalls,
reins, girths
and latigoes
are checked and
replaced periodically.
Treatment of
the Horses
Our horses are
treated humanely,
fed well, never
overworked. They
are almost
members of the
family!
Pack Trips
The Triangle
C Ranch is located
in Shoshone National
Forest, and
offers
the opportunity
to take pack
trips into the
wilderness for
an overnight
or more. A Triangle
C wilderness
pack trip is
a deeply enriching
experience, and
gives you a chance
to bond with
your horse who
will be your
close companion
during the
trip. You will
see country which
would be difficult
to visit in any
other way.
