Weekly Schedule

Monday

Monday

Kick off your vacation with a ranch-style brunch in our Wind River Dining Room before heading to the barn to meet your horse for the week! Take advantage of an introductory lesson from one of our wranglers and enjoy a discovery ride for all ages

When you get back from your first adventure into the mountains on horseback, head to the Tie Hack Saloon to enjoy a variety of appetizers. Get ready for wine tasting for the adults and sarsaparilla tasting for the teens and children while you're there!

After dinner, head for the campfire and have fun making s 'mores, playing volleyball, horseshoes and catch a hayride before you turn in for the night!

Tuesday

Tuesday

Wake up early and meet at the corrals for an early ride and arrive at the cookout site for breakfast around the campfire! Teens and kids get geared up for the challenge of the Polar Bear Plunge into the chilly Wind River while we're cheering them on! After the Polar Bear Plunge, children have the option of joining the Lil' Outdoorsman Program where they'll go on a nature hike, learn how to set live traps and work on their Outdoorsman Award!

After breakfast, you have the choice of going hiking and fishing at Brooks Lake, teaming up for the Outdoorsman/Mountain Man Program or going on a Wild Flower Tour. For those who choose to, there are afternoon horseback rides into the Absaroka Mountains! After another ranch dinner, head on up to the Rustic Pine Tavern for Square Dancing! No experience required - just come ready to have FUN!

Wednesday

Feeling ambitious?! Join one of our wranglers on a Wrangler Run. Enjoy the challenge of jogging in the mountains of Wyoming, while you see more beautiful country from a different angle!

Get ready for another day reconnecting as a family! You'll have the option of both morning and afternoon horseback rides OR if you're really feeling brave, go on the all-day ride to Pellum Lake!

If you're interested in visiting the famed Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Park (the world's first national park), load up in one of our ranch vans for a guided tour of both parks. You won't be disappointed when you spend the day in one of the most beautiful places on earth! Gather at the lodge that evening for appetizers in the Saloon, dinner in the Wind River Dining Room and a full Mountain Man/Native American Presentation!

Teenagers get geared up for a night in Moccasin Basin for a camp cookout and sleeping under the stars! Don't get caught off guard - there will be the added adventure of playing paintball in the back country! Don't stay up too late though - you're going to ride mountain bikes back to the ranch with some of the wranglers!

Children can either join their parents during the activities of the day, or they can spend a few hours with the Children's Counselors doing some rock painting, arts & crafts and pony rides! After a busy day, all the children meet back at Tipi Village for dinner over the campfire, painting their "Indian" horses and a campout that evening with their new friends, their counselors!

Thursday

Thursday

If you love taking photos, get up early for a few pointers with our resident photographer, Andy Bowden while we bring the horses into the corrals! The morning light will be perfect and you'll have a chance to capture your family's experience using your own camera! After breakfast, you can head out on a horseback ride or take a few minutes to relax - it's your choice!

In the afternoon, head for the shooting range to put yourself to the test! With a wide variety of activities from shooting rifles, skeet, tomahawk and knife throwing or archery, you're sure to find something that's a challenge. Be sure to ask about the 3D Archery that is available upon request or sign up for Advanced Marksmanship Lessons!

If guns and ammo isn't your thing, head over to the informative United States Forest Service Presentation behind the Beaver Cabin or sign up for Dutch Oven Cooking Classes with our talented chef! Following the afternoon's activities, meet at the cookout site for our Steak Cookout and come prepared to sing and have your boots branded with the Triangle C Ranch logo!

After an evening of fun, adults saddle up and enjoy an evening of serenity during our weekly sunset ride, while the teenagers enjoy some arena riding and the children head to the Beaver Cabin for movie night with the Counselors!

Friday

Friday

It's another fun day at the ranch! Adventurous?! Head out for another Wrangler Run or just spend the early morning relaxing! Head out for a morning of excitement on the back of a horse, or get brave and head out to Kissinger Ridge for an all-day ride!

We'll meet behind the Beaver Cabin for an Old Fashioned BBQ and then saddle up for an afternoon ride or enjoy a relaxing afternoon on the ranch while you soak up some sunshine! Get prepared for an evening of excitement at the Dubois Rodeo where the kids will have a chance to join in the excitement of the Dude Ranch Ribbon Roping and Mutton Bustin'!

Saturday

Saturday

If you're brave enough, get up at the crack of dawn and meet up with the wranglers to help them wrangle the horses! If not, sleep in a little bit and after breakfast head out in anticipation of the thrill of the all-new Pony Express Ride! While this ride is reserved for advanced riders, everyone can participate by cheering them across the finish line!

Following the Pony Express Ride, head for the arena to participate in the weekend gymkhana (games on horseback), the buckin' barrel and last, but not least, a farewell horseback ride. After you've worked up an appetite, follow the aroma for the Old Fashioned Picnic on the deck of the lodge overlooking the Wind River. We'll have an awards ceremony you won't want to miss!

Activities
Horse Back Riding

The ranch runs about 150 head of horses and mules. With that many animals, there is a temperament to match the skills of any rider. A horse is assigned to you for the week. Beginner instruction is offered each day for an additional charge in the new arena and children 6 and older may ride their own horse. Miles of scenic trails, guided by Western wranglers, wind through majestic mountains, surrounded by timber and an abundance of wildlife.

We have family rides, adult rides, as well as rides grouped according to your ability. There are sunset rides on Wapiti Ridge or Lava Mountain, where you see the Wyoming world in 360 degrees. Also a ranch rodeo and Gymkhana for all complete with an awards ceremony.

Cowboy Up: This program is geared for the more advanced rider and is available for an additional fee. We trailer you and your horse to off ranch trails and may include an overnight excursion to our backcountry camp.

Dude Weekly Program

There is complete program for children of all ages, throughout the period of mid June to mid August, which is supervised by counselors. Activities include crafts, nature hikes, fishing, mountain bike rides, pony-rides and an overnight in the Tipi Village or Strawberry Fields.

Programs are available during scheduled AM and PM rides. At other times, there is additional baby-sitting upon request, at a cost of $10 / hour, per child. Children are cared for between 9am - 11 am and 2pm - 4pm daily and also during some scheduled evening programs.

Yellowstone

Located only 30 miles from the South East entrance of the park, we offer a guided day trip to Yellowstone National Park on Wednesdays. Yellowstone offers unique wildlife viewing, and is a place you will never forget. You'll visit Old Faithful Geyser (she's still on time!), marvel at the geothermal activity, see the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, overlook Yellowstone Lake, and search for wildlife.

The park is home to an abundance of animals; rainbow trout, bald eagles, otters, coyotes, bison, elk, moose, wolves and much more. It is also home to the world's largest geyser field. A trip to Yellowstone is a step back in time to the days of explorers and mountain men.

These fabulous wonders occur throughout the year, and we arrange guided Snow Coach Adventures to the Park in the Winter Season.

Back Country and Hunting Trips

If you are interested in a real western backcountry experience, Thunder Mountain Outfitters at the Triangle C Ranch is ready to take you there.

Grand Teton

Towering more than a mile above the valley known as Jackson Hole, the Grand Teton rises to 13,780 feet above sea level. There is habitat here for a variety of animals, from the tiniest insects, to fish, birds and large and small mammals.

The drive north from Jackson to the Triangle C Ranch offers a firsthand glance at this wild country. If you look carefully you can spot a moose hiding in the willows, or a coyote lookin' for dinner on Antelope Flats. From the Ranch you can experience the grandeur of this Park by car, boat or foot.

Rafting

Scenic Rafting is available on the Snake River and is an optional activity offered on Wednesday. A beautiful tranquil way to see Grand Teton National Park! The Minimum age is generally 4 years old, but the rafting outfitter has the final decision.

Or get your adrenaline rush on a Whitewater trip, rushing down rapids from class 2 to 4! Whitewater and scenic rafting are available but are not included in your ranch stay fee.

Hiking

Triangle C Ranch lies in a hiker's paradise. From Lava Mountain you can see as far as the Tetons. Hike mountain trails that follow mountain streams or walk through the meadows of wildflowers and experience wildlife viewing from foot. Off-ranch guided hikes with our naturalist are available upon request for an additional charge.

Fishing

Excellent fly fishing and casting is available in the Wind River and at our nearby mountain lakes. If you're a fishing enthusiast you'll want to bring your own gear. Some equipment is available for rent at the Ranch.

You'll need a fishing license, which we can help arrange. Guided fishing trips are available for an additional fee. Pack fishing trips are available by previous arrangement and can be customized for your needs. Call for Overnight Horse Pack Trip information.

Mountain biking

We have mountain bikes for your use around the Ranch, as well as a specialized mountain bike campout for the teens. Get some exercise and explore the trails a different way!

Golf

There is a 9 hole golf course just 18 miles from the ranch near Dubois. Cart and club rentals available. You'll need your own transportation for this activity.

There is a world famous Arnold Palmer course in the shadow of the Tetons just an hour away in Jackson.

Smimming

Test yourself with the Polar Bear plunge at the breakfast cookout or relax over looking the river in our new swim-spa at the lodge. The Wind River offers a cool swimming hole, and the fresh water lakes are begging you for a dip.

Canoeing

Leisurely paddle yourself around one of the many lakes near the ranch and we have a car top carrier for your convenience and transport. Guided trips are available at an extra cost.

Evening Entertainment

You'll find something happening every night at the Triangle C Ranch, from Square Dancing, Ranch Rodeo, wine tasting, jewelry and boot shows, archery, Black Powder Shoots, Tomahawk Throwing, marshmallow roasts over an evening campfire, Western Dinner Theatre, hay rides or a sunset horseback ride on Wapiti Ridge.

You can do as much or as little as you like. Entertainment programs are offered from Memorial Day to Labor Day. After that date, evenings are more relaxed, unstructured and time to enjoy a little fishing or walk through the Fall colors.
